The “DelGuard” mechanism mainly derives from the spring design at both ends inside the pencil. When the user writes with the pen vertically, the spring above will absorb the pressure of the nib and retract the refill automatically. When the user writes with the pen obliquely, the spring below will protect the refill by letting the nib pushes out a protection shell so that the refill won’t be broken easily anymore.
With the new eraser, the user can use it immediately by turning the pen upside down. The user used to lose the pen cap without knowing, but now (s)he does not need to worry about it.
